Over the last few days I have been pondering about what to blog about as I'd rathernot just blog about how my day is going. Right now I don't think I lead a very interesting life. However today I met someone worth blogging about. After looking at over a half dozen houses for a possible purchase I went to Burger King to get a chicken sandwich with my husband and one of his friends. As I was standing in line waiting for my husbands friend, in walks an older gentleman, clearly some kind of a hippie with his long beard and hair and his awesome dangly necklace. I studied him as he ordered trying to figure him out a little bit. He turned out to be one of the coolest people I have ever met. You can tell he has walked the walk of life. It was an interesting encounter
This is a clip from the end of Tom's funeral. A massed band of 20 bagpipers played Amazing Grace as his casket was taken from the church to the herse. The silence after the tune was numbing... You will be greatly missed Tom.
Everything happens for a reason. However when a death occours, especially to a young person it can be very painful. My own mother passed at only42. Today I am attending a funeral for a friend that I was in a band with who was only 39. I am very sad that I couldn't get to know him better as I had just joined the band again. He was one of the only members of the band close to my age and I was looking forward to getting to know him. Even though everything happens for a reason, it seems so senseless at the moment for a 39 year old to drop dead of a brain annyurism. I will have to meditate over it for some time before I can come up with an answer. Life is such a mystery sometimes. Please remember that life is short. Don't take things foregranted... Not even someone you pass on the street. We are all humans with feelings and emotions. Friends and loved ones will not be there forever and they may be gone sooner than you think. It has taken the loss of my mother for me to discover this. So please take this message with you. Don't leave mad... And say goodbye to everyone as if it was the last time that you may speak to them. Enough of the sap for now... More later.
I am never sure how to start these things... Maybe the best thing to do would be your basic meet and greet. Granted, some of you reading this may know me, but some do not.
Ok, here goes... I am 25 and just recently married. We are within the first year of marriage! Music is a passion of mine. I am a singer as well as a cellist. More of a singer tho. I once was a public school music teacher, and I don't wish to again. I am now..... (any guesses?!?!) working as a dancer at one of those fine establishments.... Ok. NOT REALLY. Not even close. I am studying to be an RN. (Registered Nurse)... I live in Iowa and I love to travel. Being active is important to me. Money is not important. Happiness is. Not sure what else to add for now. I'm sure you'll learn more throgh my many blogs. That's all!!! Later!
